Meet our new pups!

Golden Retriever/Poodle/Australian Cattle Dog/Kelpie. These young pups (Aster, Petunia, Tulip and Zinnia) came from a home where they spent their entire first 14 weeks of their lives in a wire dog kennel. Currently they are 7 months old. Because they did not get out of the kennel for so long and did not have much exposure to the outside world, they take a little time to work up the confidence to experience a new situation or transition. But they brave their fears and tackle any challenge with a very cautious but willing, happy spirit and a wagging tail. They are extremely food motivated and willingly work through their fears, so we have high hopes for them!!

Aster – Is a very fun and happy boy. He has a ton of energy and is the sweetest and most loving fella. However, even with all that energy, after a good amount of physical and mental stimulation he loves his cuddles quite a bit and will snuggle up and relax with you too. He is the most affectionate and likes to be with people. I believe Aster would do best in a home with someone home most of the time and with a dog who is more submissive and doesn't mind playing a lot. He has been around cats, chickens, horses, rabbits, and guinea pigs when he was younger. Want to hike a 14er? He is your man, and once you get to the top, he will say "this way to the next one!" Call Cindy 970-353-1385still testing her. We are looking for a home with a young male dog (if she is determined to be good with dogs) and someone home most of the time. She was found as a stray with another dog, and he has found a new home so it’s time for Bailey to find her new home. Call Cindy 970-353-1385

Petunia - She is a sweet little girl, a perfect mix of hyper and calm. She can get up and play and go for a while but will also be perfectly happy just hanging out. She is affectionate but easily distracted. Petunia gets along with all dogs in a group and takes social cues and corrections from others well. She likes to play. She is inquisitive with cats but only engages if another dog is interacting with them. I believe Petunia will do best in a home with someone home most of the time and with a more confident dog. Tulip - She is the perfect mix of sugar and spice. Once with her people she comes out of her shell very well. She is affectionate. She is such a fun and happy pup and the clown of the bunch. She likes to wade in her swimming pool. She gets along great with other dogs and in a group. She does like to chase the cats but has never hurt them. She takes social cues and corrections very well from older dogs but does like to push limits sometimes. She will do best in a home with someone home most of the time and with a more submissive dog. Zinnia - She is the most reserved of the 3 girls. You will find her close to her person or darting around pretending to be a greyhound. She loves to be out and about. She loves to play. She is great with other dogs and takes social cues and corrections very well. She just prefers the humans. She will take a second to warm up but is then very affectionate and will roll on her back for belly rub. She will chase small animals but hasn't hurt any yet. She would do best in a home that can give her an opportunity to run and has someone home most of the time and a confident dog to help her brave her fears. She would be one heck of a hiking buddy! Grace, Terrier/Poodle mix, 1.5 yr,, 42 lbs. Grace is a friendly, happy youngster who just loves people and other dogs. She wants so much for someone’s attention and affection. She is energetic and needs work on her manners as it doesn’t appear she’s had a home that cared anything about her. Good with other dogs but doesn’t know how to meet or play properly with them so she needs a young male dog that can teach her without losing his temper. Grace was found in the country when the weather was single digits and below. A good Samaritan started feeding her and bought her a doghouse since he wasn’t able to catch her. We were finally able to trap her, and immediately she became a different dog. She was so happy to be with someone and to know that no one was going to hurt her. She would do better in a home with someone home most of the time and another young male dog to play and learn from. She needs a 6’ privacy fence. Call Cindy 970-353-1385
